Pre-Session Consultation

Remember when you were growing up, sitting for hours looking through pictures found in the photo "drawer, box, or cabinet".  In today's world, hundreds of candid images now sit within our hard drives, and mobile devices.

By hiring Scott Peek Photography, you are choosing to work with a professional.  We encourage all of our clients to have art on your walls, rather than in your hard drives.  For this reason, we strongly encourage all of our clients to take advantage of a pre-consultation appointment.

This 15-30 minute appointment gives us time before the session day to plan the details: session time, location, choice of photo session and your expectations for the session.  We will also discuss the locations within your home you want to decorate, including your walls, mantles, shelves and desktops.  Once we have finished our planning, payment for your session is due in full. (Please see Policies for more details.)

During Your Session

Depending on your session type, it will take place within our studio, or on-location.  Using our expertise and professional lighting, we will capture many different images and looks. The type and length of your session will define how many outfits and backdrops/looks we can accomplish. When choosing an on-location, or “in-home” setting, please allow an additional 30 minutes to the length of your photography session for equipment setup and teardown.

After Your Session

At the time of your session booking, we will also set up a date and time for your preview and purchasing appointment.  The preview and purchasing appointment on average is 1-3 weeks after your session and will take between 1 and 1.5 hours. When arriving for your appointment, we will show you a collection of the best images captured and assist in culling the images down to fit your product desires.  

We ask that you please be prepared to place your order at the appointment and all parties involved in the decision making process be present. (spouse, mom, dad, sisters, brothers).  Together, we will help you make the best decisions regarding your portraits and how to best display all of them.

If for some reason a final decision can’t be made at this initial appointment, we do offer an additional preview and purchase appointments at a cost of $100 each.

Final Processing and Order Pickup

Upon receipt of your final confirmed order and full payment, we will the post process the purchased images and prepare them for printing and framing.  Depending on the products and workflow, please allow 3-5 weeks for completion.  We will notify you of their arrival so you can schedule a time to pick up your portraits.
